Workshop Description
A critical aspect of a psychologist’s clinical practice is understanding the use of medication in the treatment of psychiatric conditions. This presentation is an update of current psychotropic medications including their use, side effects, and management. Participants will increase their understanding of medications in the assessment and treatment of their patients/clients.
Presenter: Lisa R. Benton-Hardy, MD
Lisa R. Benton-Hardy M.D. is board certified in both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. She is a former chief of Psychiatry at Children’s Hospital Oakland and Research Center (now known as UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital) and the cofounder of two school based comprehensive adolescent health and mental health centers at Castlemont and McClymonds High School. She is presently in private practice in San Ramon, CA.

CPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists CPA maintains responsibility for this program and its contents.
