Biography
Hello and welcome, I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in eating disorders, anxiety, trauma and LGBTQIA+ affirming care for teens and adults across California. My passion for this work stems from a deep appreciation for connection, resilience, and healing. Growing up in a rural California town, I spent much of my childhood caring for animals, which nurtured my empathy, responsibility, and understanding of care—values that now shape my work as a therapist. From an early age, I recognized the profound impact of support and connection, leading me to my life’s calling: helping individuals navigate challenges and reclaim their well-being.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in human development from UC Davis, where I discovered a deep sense of purpose in supporting others. My early experience as a peer counselor and work at a crisis residential facility reinforced the importance of connection and belonging, strengthening my commitment to providing meaningful, trauma-informed care.
I completed my doctorate at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, training in diverse clinical settings, including school counseling centers, CBT-based and trauma-focused community clinics, and specialized eating disorder programs. During my predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Kaiser Permanente, I deepened my expertise in eating disorders, anxiety, and trauma, particularly through my work in the Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (EDIOP), where I gained invaluable experience in evidence-based treatment approaches.
